Sister-heap WMtE 3

Essence of Sister-heap WMtE 3

Spontaneous connection.  I continue to be amazed that women who often do not know one another prior to our coming together spontaneously sense our connnection, our oneness, as sisters, as seekers, as holders of the feminine.  As we sense into our wholeness of knowing, there is a natural unfolding and letting go.  And we just know.  A big part of this Women Moving the Edge was sensing into and from our bodies and the layers of wisdom re-emerging.   We flow into holding and touching that comes from a place of wholeness and integrity.  It is not about soothing bruised egoes or healing pain.  It is much more than that. We each hold the silent courage and strength needed to address the ambiguity of a complex and troubled world.  We as really bright and present women choose to touch, to connect, to embrace, to hold one another as we travel this unpredictable and yet amazing life journey.  We can come back to this and know – we are all still there.

“Sensing In” as we walk into Life

So I pick up the stone, deep purple amethyst, cool to my hand and taking my warmth warming itself … as I listen to Source, what speaks to me is that this is what I need you for … to connect into Source together … to feel you silent around me as I let the words come up that express what is there … and I do feel you at this moment, sitting in circle, sitting around the hearth, the place of glowing timbers that give rise to the new … from this place I start my day, my day of lots to do, to let come, translate into words and send out through the amazing email connections … I sit in circle with you As I do what needs doing by me today, this moment, connecting, connecting, sensing, sensing … feeling the joy of life come up, enliven my cells, my eyes, my organs, like a wave, spreading, making me glow, a quiet pulsing glow, a deep trust that our connection is for the good of the whole and will work its way through all of us into the world of the manifest ….I look around our circle and see you all connected to Source … and so it is

Witches We – Reflections from Women Moving the Edge 3

Into the Silence

Witches We

Into circle we come to hold the field of generative birthing silence so the inner feminine knowing can re-emerge through us. We sense the import and responsibility to be present as never before, to hold this birthing place, to honor all those who have sacrificed before.  Now we must step forward to honor their work and their stories.  We are to bring forth the next level of feminine knowing.  They, the grandmothers, our sisters from all of time, stand behind us, bringing radiant light and love and presence to our circle, and hold us as we inquire into our collective wisdom.  What is emerging to take form now?

We integrate silence, meditation,  ritual, dance, artistic expression, touching the earth, savoring the bird’s song, sensing bodily knowing and the experience of touch.  We hold this space in this time as if pregnant with the inherited wisdom and pain of all the generations of women before us.  We sense into the Middle, the deep inner collective knowing that is ours to voice and to manifest.

And there is Magic.  We are reawakening and co-presencing the Magic that will transform our planet.  This time we will not hold back or be held back.  We will not be burned or scorned.  Silence will be of our choosing. We have discovered our power, our wholeness.  We completely surrender to the presence of emergence, so that we may serve this birthing.  Our circle holds the delicate balance of the just-about-to-be born.  We sense our deep connection to one another (our “essence of sister-heap”), and how we are coming together to hold one another, through circle, courage, and love.  As new levels of knowing settle into the cellular body of our collective core, we ignite the Magic.

Women Moving the Edge 3

The energetic interweaving streams of women’s archetypal wisdom are still settling into my being as I have returned from Belgium and from this 3rd gathering of women exploring conscious collective women’s leadership.  (Feb. 1-4, 2008)

I was honored to be part of the hosting team with Ria Baeck and Helen Titchen Beeth. My very strong sense is that the collective field grows and expands, with the grooves deepening through our successive coming together.

Ria and Helen have both begun to blog to share the incredibly abundant harvest . You can find them here. Ria’s Seeds for a Happy Planet and Helen’s blog in Gaia Community.

Their postings may take a chronological path, at least initially. For me I am taking a thread or theme or sensed knowing and attempting to give language to it. One learning is the importance of being explicit, to articulate what seems almost without words. We must give our collective inner knowing form. We are to make it manifest in the world.  This knowing is our collective feminine gift.

Creating  Temple Space – Liz shares her daughter story.

Liz shares her African daughter storyAs I and we move into holding the space for the next Women Moving the Edge (Belgium, Feb. 1-4, 2008) I am holding some silence and listening and noticing what is coming into the field.   Yesterday I spent a day Creating Temple Space with 12 other women.  In this very creative, sacred, present field the strength and courage and yet gentleness of who we as women are was very alive.

I was struck by the conversation around daughters.  Daughters coming into our lives in the West from Russia and China and other places where daughters are still sometimes rejected, not valued, and sent away (if not killed).  It was as if this energy of the daughter emerged first through Diana’s description of Father(Spirit), Mother (matter, Earth), Son (mind) and daughter (heart) completing the divine energetic whole.  Then there was Liz’s story of being accepted into the daughtership of a wise elder African chief.  And then the stories of the heart filled transformational changes occuring  in women’s lives as a daughter from a distant culture brought new learnings, new openings.  It was as if remembering the daughter in us, we come back to our own essence and connection to source.

So as I meditated and wrote this morning this kind of inquiry is within me.  If we (women as a collective) hold the consciousness of the Collective She, what are we birthing now? And who are we as the Collective Daughter?  Will we embody, hold, and bring forward the new genes/seeds that will transform the world?

My wild friend and sister Jennifer

Picture by Ria Baeck by riabaeck

Jennifer is the one with the gleam in her eye, just about to swirl off the screen. With Wendy, this was one of our wilder moments at the recent Women Moving the Edge at Jen’s retreat Center, Angel’s Rest.

I am writng now because Jennifer recently found her birth mother (and 10 siblings) who live in California. While I cannot show the incredible pictures of her time with mother and family (newfound sisters) over Thanksgiving, I do want to share the link and a poem that Jen wrote from this loving reunion. I sense we have all longed to be sisters.

SISTERS

Staring into my own blue eyes,
I see sisters.
Sharing beautiful, beaming smiles,
I see sisters.
Helping hands, open arms, open hearts,
I see sisters.
Longing places now fulfilled,
I have sisters!

Where Passion Meets the Needs of the World

Morning is often my time for meditation and reflection.  This morning, as the rain fell softly outside, I took some time in silence.  Still with me was the podcast shared by Helen of Tim Merry talking at a recent Art of Hosting about the Chaordic Stepping Stones.  Dropping in at a deeper level this time is the idea of not letting limiting beliefs stop me.  When I have great passion and purpose, what stands in the way?  Why have so many ideas been just visions of what could be? I must begin to live my purpose and to discern where my gifts intersect with the needs of the world.

Sensing into the field is also a way to know what is needed now.  And I can do that daily as part of my morning practice.  What are the questions?  What are the questions we don’t even know yet or don’t know to ask?  What are the questions of the Future emerging through us?

This harkens back to a recent conversation between Helen and Ria and I.  It seems to be a way of sensing into the next Women Moving the Edge.  And as Helen said, even as we sense and know purpose going into the gathering, we must continue to sense into the field, to birth new purpose during the gathering, and even sense more  as we emerge on the other end.  Purpose evolves in the process of future emerging.  There is a Collective Presencing as Ria says.

Today I revisited Social Artistry and all that Jean Houston is birthing.  Now Jean is someone whose passion is continually meeting with the needs in the real world.  I never cease to be amazed as wise words just flow about ”Creating the Possible Human”.   So much of who Jean is and what she is impulsing in the world is of this “wholeness of knowing”, and there is no holding back.   She does not know limitation.  And so much of what she said in this one call speaks of purpose, passion, and how we are called to serve and to be who we are, to bring out gifts to the needs of the world.

We are training for the unknown and the inexplicable.  We are the fetus of the emerging human self (Self) (of the future emerging).  And this wholeness of knowing, in ways that we cannot yet imagine is calling for integrating and including all that we are and can be.  There can be no holding back.  Jean talks of synesthesia, a kind of cross-sensing.  We learn to hear color, to touch the texture of music, to taste sublte feeling, to smell the movement of time.  We learn to move beyond the 5 senses and to embody fully our senses of knowing, our sensing into knowing, to be all that is emerging through us individually and collectively.

So we as women are learning not to hold back, not to be limited by ions of collective limiting beliefs.  We are at the edge where passion meets the needs of the world.  We are moving the edge.  Through sensing into our wholeness, trusting our inner knowing, collectively presencing, we are learning and birthing the inexplicable.  We are in a kind of training and preparing the way, the grooves in consciusness so that more may follow those chaodic stepping stones that Tim spoke of so eloquently.  The time is now.

This is surely where my passion is edging into the needs of the world.

March 3-6 2007, at the Heerlijckyt in Belgium, nine women swam, struggled and soared through chaos and emptiness to community and beyond…
